การพัฒนาทักษะการพูดภาษาอังกฤษของนักศึกษาในรายวิชาภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสาร โดยใช้บทฝึกการสนทนาภาษาอังกฤษและการใช้บทบาทสมมติ

Abstract

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาผลการใช้แบบฝึกบทสนทนาภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสาร ในการพัฒนาความสามารถในการพูดภาษาอังกฤษของนักศึกษาที่ลงทะเบียนรายวิชา ศท 0033013 ภาษาองักฤษเพื่อการสื่อสาร ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2558 หน่วยจัดการศึกษานอกที่ตั้ง มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเทพสตรี อำเภอตาคลี ซึ่งกลุ่มตัวอย่าง ที่ใช ้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ คือนักศึกษาที่ลงทะเบียนเรียนรายวิชาภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสาร ภาคเรียน ที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2558 จำนวน 2 กลุ่มเรียน รวม 30 คน เครื่องมือวินิจฉัย ได้แก่ แบบฝึกบทสนทนาความสามารถ ด้านการพูดภาษาอังกฤษ และแบบสังเกตพฤติกรรมด้านการพูด ที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และการทดสอบคงที่ ผลการวิจัยปรากฏว่า นักศึกษาที่เข้าร่วมในกิจกรรมการพูดภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสาร โดยภาพรวมมีความสามารถในการพูดภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารก่อนการทดลองอยู่ในเกณฑ์ดี ที่ระดับค่าเฉลี่ย 3.86 โดยพบว่านักศึกษาที่มีความสามารถในการพูดภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสาร อยู่ในระดับดีร้อยละ 13.3 หลังการทดลองพบว่านักศึกษาสามารถพูดภาษาอังกฤษได้ดีมากร้อยละ 93.3 ผลการเปรียบเทียบความสามารถในการพูดภาษาอังกฤษ ของนักศึกษาก่อนและหลังการทดลองพบว่า หลังการทดลองนักศึกษาสามารถพูดภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารได้ดีขึ้น โดยมีความสามารถในการพูดเพื่อการสื่อสารหลังการทดลองสูงกว่าก่อนการทดลองอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ.05

The purpose of this research was to study the effects using exercises on English conversation for communication to develop English speaking ability of students who enrolled in the ENG 0033013: Everyday English Course in second semester of the 2016 academic year at Thepsstri Rajabhat University. The research sample consisted of 30 Thepsstri Rajabhat University students in two intact classes, who enrolled in the ENG 0033013: Everyday English Course in the second semester of the 2016 academic year, obtained by cluster sampling. The research instruments comprised a set of exercises on English conversation for communication and a speaking behavior observation form. Statistics for data analysis were the percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test. Research findings showed that the overall pre-experiment speaking ability of the student in the experimental group was at the good level, with the overall observation rating mean of 3.86. However, only 13.3 percent of students in the group had English speaking ability at the good level. After the experiment, it was found that 93.3 percent of students in the group could speak English at the very good level. Comparison results of English speaking abilities of the students before and after the experiment showed that their post-experiment English speaking ability increased over their pre-experiment ability at the .05 level of statistical significance.
