กลวิธีการกล่าวขอโทษในนวนิยายไทย

Abstract

บทความวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์กลวิธีการกล่าวขอโทษที่ปรากฏในนวนิยายทั้ง 5 ช่วงสมัย (ตั้งแต่ ปีพ.ศ. 2444 – 2555) จำนวน 40 เรื่อง ผลการวิจัย พบว่า การกล่าวขอโทษในนวนิยายไทยมี 2 ประเภท คือ 1) การกล่าวขอโทษแบบตรง ที่ปรากฏถ้อยคำแสดงเจตนาในการขอโทษ เช่น“ขอโทษ” “เสียใจ” และ 2) การกล่าวขอโทษแบบอ้อม ซึ่งจะไม่ปรากฏคำว่า“ขอโทษ” “เสียใจ” แต่จะใช้ถ้อยคำอื่นที่แสดงเจตนาในการขอโทษ ซึ่งกลวิธีการกล่าวขอโทษในนวนิยายไทยมี 7 กลวิธี ได้แก่ 1) การกล่าวถ้อยคำแสดงเจตนาขอโทษ 2) การให้เหตุผล 3) การยอมรับผิด4) การกล่าวแก้ตัว 5)การเสนอชดใช้ 6) การทำให้ผู้ฟังรู้สึกดีขึ้น และ 7) การขอร้อง

The purpose of this research was to analyze apologizing strategies found in 40 Thai novels during 5 periods (from 1901 to 2012).The result revealed that there were two types of apologizing patterns found in Thai novels which were 1) direct apologizing by using an explicit expression of apology with the words “sorry” and “regret”, and 2) indirect apologizing without the words “sorry” and “regret”, but other expressions for apologizing were used. There were 7 apologizing strategies in Thai novels which were 1) an explicit expression of apology, 2) giving reasons, 3) confessing, 4) making an excuse, 5) compensating, 6) trying to make the hea rer feels better and 7) requesting.
