คุณภาพชีวิตและภาวะซึมเศร้าของผู้พิการในเขตพื้นที่ ตำบลหนองเต็ง อำเภอกระสัง จังหวัดบุรีรัมย์

Abstract

การศึกษานี้จึงมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อการประเมิน คุณภาพชีวิต และภาวะซึมเศร้าของผู้พิการการวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงพรรณนาภาคตัดขวางกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ศึกษาเป็นผู้พิการในเขตพื้นที่ตาบล หนองเต็ง อำเภอกระสัง จังหวัดบุรีรัมย์จำนวน230 คนเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลคุณภาพชีวิตและภาวะความซึมเศร้าของผู้พิการโดยใช้แบบสัมภาษณ์แบบมีโครงสร้าง เก็บข้อมูลในช่วงเดือน พฤษภาคม - กรกฎาคม 2556 วิเคราะห์ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างภาวะซึมเศร้ากับคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้พิการด้วยสถิติ Pearson Correlation กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ศึกษาเป็นเพศชายร้อยละ 53 มีอายุเฉลี่ย 49 ปี กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่มีความบกพร่องทางร่างกายพบร้อยละ 66.10 และกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่มีความบกพร่องทางการมองเห็น พบร้อยละ 28.7 กลุ่มตัวอย่างส่วนใหญ่ร้อยละ 98.26 มีคุณภาพชีวิตในระดับปานกลาง โดยกลุ่มตัวอย่างประมาณครึ่งหนึ่งมีความรู้สึกเหงา เศร้า สิ้นหวัง และสองในสามพอใจในชีวิตเพียงเล็กน้อยหรือไม่พอใจเลย ด้านภาวะซึมเศร้า พบว่ากลุ่มตัวอย่างครึ่งหนึ่งมีภาวะซึมเศร้าระดับปานกลาง อีกครึ่งหนึ่งมีภาวะซึมเศร้าระดับน้อย โดยมีกลุ่มตัวอย่างสองในสามคิดทำร้ายตัวเองบ่อยๆ จากการวิเคราะห์ความสัมพันธ์ของคุณภาพชีวิตและภาวะซึมเศร้า เมื่อควบคุมตัวแปร อายุ รายได้ ระยะเวลาพิการ ประเภทความพิการ ไม่พบความสัมพันธ์ของคุณภาพชีวิตกับภาวะซึมเศร้าอย่างมีนัยสำาคัญทางสถิติ สรุปผู้พิการที่ศึกษามีคุณภาพชีวิตไม่ดีและมีภาวะซึมเศร้าเกือบทุกคน ดังนั้นในระบบบริการสำหรับผู้พิการควรให้ความสำคัญในการป้องกันและรักษาภาวะซึมเศร้าในผู้พิการเพื่อป้องกันความรุนแรงของโรค

This cross-sectional descriptive study aimed to investigate the levels of quality of life (QL) and depression in people with disabilities. The participants were 230 people with a registered disability living in the NongTeng Subdistrict of Krasung District, Buriram Province. A structured questionnaire was used during May to July 2013 to collect information about general characteristic, QL and depression. The associations between the scores for QL and depression were analysed using Pearson correlation coefficients.The results showed that 53% of the subjects were males, their average age was 49 years. Sixty six percent of all subject had a body movement disability, and 28.7% of them had a visual disability. In term of QL score, the vast majority (98.3%) had a moderate level of QL, but about half felt sad, lonely, and hopeless. Two thirds of all subjects were not satisfied their lives. For the depression score, almost all subjects reported feeling depressed: for about half of them this feeling was at a moderate level of severity, and for the other half the level was low. For the results of each item of depression questions, the worst, two thirds of all participants often wanted to hurt themselves. The correlation between QL and depression was not statistically significant. In conclusion, the QL of disabled persons was not good, and they had problems with depression. Services for persons with disabilities should therefore include activities aimed at improving psychological well being. There should also be periodic screening for psychological problems and, when needed, professional treatment for psychiatric disorders.
