dc.description.abstract Buriram province has faced drought because of long dry spells leading to water shortages. In changing weather conditions, the increasing population makes water management in many areas insufficient to meet the demand. This article aims to survey the water supply resources and the water demands for consumption and agriculture, to develop a water management database and a web application to publicize water usage data in Ma Feung sub-district area, Phutthaisong district, Ban Dan sub-district, Ban Dan district, Khok Lek sub-district, Huai Rat district and Mueang Fang sub-district Mueang Buriram district, Buriram province. The sample group consisted of 61 participants, comprising members of the water management committee at the sub-district level, representatives of Buriram Provincial Office for Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, Buriram Provincial Office for Natural Resources and Environment, Farmers Council Office of Buriram Province, and Buriram Land Development Station. The concept of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) was adopted in the system development. Research methods are divided into 4 phases, namely 1) the study of the needs, 2) water usage database development at the sub district level, 3) the web application development, and 4) An experiment to assess the system’s efficiency and satisfaction of the system users. The results of the research showed that database system development consists of 16 tables: advice, villages, sub-districts, districts, provinces, contact information, cattle type, cattle by household, households, plants by household, plants type, membership system, water resources, a record of water resources, villages responsible for water resources, and villages utilizing water resources.The online geographic information system for water management in drought-affected areas consists of 10 sections, including the main page, classification of animals, agricultural areas, water management, member data management, village management, data entry, issuance of reports, suggestions, and information on how to contact officers. Information on water demand was collected from 2,714 households in 37 communities. The overall system’s efficiency evaluation result was at a very good level (x̅=4.70). The results from the users’ satisfaction with the online geoinformatics database system for water management in drought-affected areas showed that in the overall aspect, the users’ satisfaction with the system was at the highest level (x̅=4.76). en_US
