การใช้เกมคำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อพัฒนาการเรียนรู้คำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษของนักเรียนระดับประถมศึกษา

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to use vocabulary games to develop English vocabulary learning of primary school students and to study the students’ opinions on learning vocabulary English via games. The sample group was thirty-five Prathomsuksa 5 students at Demonstration School of Buriram Rajabhat University. The study was carried out for a four-week time frame with 12 class periods of 60 minutes each. The instruments used in this study included 2 achievement tests, and a questionnaire about students’ opinions on learning vocabulary English via games. The data were statistically analysed by percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test.

The findings indicated that students’ scores on achievement test (post-test) were higher than the pre-test before learning at the .01 level of significance. The average post-test score was 80.55 percent. The students’ satisfactions towards English vocabulary games were rated at high level for all of the games in this research. The overall students’ satisfactions was 4.16. When considered separately, the highest level was Pictionary, Deaf & Dumb Spelling and Bingo, respectively.
