บทบาทความเป็นพ่อในนวนิยายไทยร่วมสมัย ช่วง 4 ทศวรรษ พ.ศ. 2515-2558

Abstract

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาบทบาท พฤติกรรม และความหลากหลาย ของความเป็นพ่อในนวนิยายไทยร่วมสมัย ข้อมูลที่ใช้ คือ นวนิยายไทยร่วมสมัย 16 เรื่อง โดยใช้กรอบแนวคิดบทบาท บุคลิกภาพ นวนิยายกับสังคม และบทบาทพ่อตาม มิติโครงสร้างสังคมและวัฒนธรรม ผลการวิจัยบทบาทความเป็นพ่อและพฤติกรรมใน นวนิยายไทยร่วมสมัย พบว่า มี 2 กลุ่ม คือ กลุ่มพ่อที่แสดงบทบาทตามความคาดหวัง ของสังคม และกลุ่มพ่อที่แสดงบทบาทขัดแย้งกับความคาดหวังของสังคม ส่วนบทบาท ความเป็นพ่อตามมิติโครงสร้างทางสังคมและวัฒนธรรม พบว่า พ่อในสังคมชนบทและ สังคมเมืองระดับชนช้ันกลาง ความหลากหลายความเป็นพ่อในนวนิยายไทยร่วมสมัย คือ บทบาทความเป็นพ่อในช่วง พ.ศ. 2515-2525 นำเสนอคุณลักษณะการเป็นพ่อที่ดี บทบาทความเป็นพ่อใน พ.ศ. 2526-2536 น าเสนอความเป็นพ่อในสังคมแห่งการ แข่งขัน บทบาทความเป็นพ่อในช่วง พ.ศ. 2537-2547 นำเสนอความเป็นพ่อที่ไม่เป็นไป ตามแบบฉบับ บทบาทความเป็นพ่อในช่วง พ.ศ. 2548-2558 นำเสนอการยอมรับความ หลากหลายของความเป็นพ่อที่ต่างกัน ทัศนะความเป็นพ่อของนักเขียนชาย พบว่า เป็น แบบอย่างของการรักวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่น มีอำนาจ และมีความเป็นผู้นา ครอบครัว ทัศนะ ความเป็นพ่อของนักเขียนหญิง พบว่า พ่อเป็นผู้เสียสละและให้ความสำคัญกับ ครอบครัว ใช้อำนาจของผู้ชายและไม่รับผิดชอบต่อครอบครัว รักอุดมการณ์แต่ไม่ให้ ความสำคัญกับครอบครัว และต้องยอมรับบทบาทที่เปลี่ยนไปตามยุคสมัย "

The objective of the study was to investigate roles, behaviors and the diversity of fatherhood in Thai contemporary novels. The research data were accumulated from 16 Thai contemporary novels, and theories of role, personality, novels and society and father role in social and cultural dimension were used. The findings revealed that the role of father in contemporary Thai novels was divided into two groups; the father acting as social expectations and the father acting in conflict with the expectations of society. In addition, father in rural society and father in middle-class urban societies showed in different values. The diversity of fatherhood in Thai contemporary novels was studied through the development of the role of fatherhood. It was pointed out in each period of time. During 1972-1982, role of fatherhood showed the attributes of being good father. During 1983-1993, it showed fatherhood in society of competition. During 1994-2004, the role showed fatherhood in a typical way. During 2005-2015, it revealed the acceptance of different fatherhood's diversity. It was different in male and female authors’ points of view. The fatherhood in male authors’ attitude was exemplary of local culture conservation, having power and family leadership. On the other hand, fatherhood in female authors’ attitude was sacrifice, giving precedence to family, using patriarchy, lacking of responsibility for family and having ideology but not give priority to the family. It was accepted that the role was changed according to the age of time, for instance, being a homosexual father. Those attitudes has revealed the fatherhood in Thai contemporary novels for four preceding decades.
