Abstract

บทคัดย่อ บทความนี้ศึกษาเชิงวิพากษ์หนังสือ วรรณกรรม : ประวัติศาสตร์เรื่องเล่าแห่งจินตนาการ ผู้แปลคือรองศาสตราจารย์ ดร. สุรเดช โชติอุดมพันธ์ แปลจากหนังสือ Little History of Literature ของศาสตราจารย์จอนห์น ซัตเทอร์แลนด์ (Sutherland John) เป็นหนังสือที่ประมวลเรื่องราวของเรื่องเล่าซึ่งถ่ายทอดผ่านกาลเวลามาหลายยุคสมัย บางเรื่องได้รับการยกย่องเป็น มหากาพย์ บางเรื่องได้รับการประเมินค่าเป็นวรรณกรรม และบางเรื่องในจำนวนดังกล่าวถูกนำมาดัดแปลงและนำเสนอในรูปแบบละครเวทีหรือภาพยนตร์ ในขณะเดียวกันช่องทางการอ่าน เสพรับและบรรจุวรรณกรรมก็วิวัฒน์ไปตามความก้าวหน้าทางเทคโนโลยี ดังที่มีการพัฒนารูปเล่มหนังสือเป็น e-book จึงเป็นทางเลือกของนักอ่านและนักเขียนทั้งหลาย ในการรับสารและส่งสาร บทความรวมเล่มของซัตเทอร์แลนด์นอกจากให้ความรู้ด้านประวัติวรรณกรรม ภูมิหลังของ นักสร้างสรรค์วรรณกรรมแห่งยุคสมัยในโลกตะวันตก และแทรกทฤษฎีวรรณกรรมศึกษาเบื้องต้นแล้ว เนื้อหายังมีนัยยะ เชิญชวนให้ผู้อ่านจับตามองพฤติกรรมการอ่านวรรณกรรมของมนุษยชาติและย้อนกลับไปสำรวจพฤติกรรมการอ่านของตนเองด้วยเช่นกัน คำสำคัญ: เรื่องเล่า, วรรณกรรม, ปรากฏการณ์

Abstract This article aims to study critical literature, literature: historical stories of imagination composed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suradech Chotidompant who translated from the work ‘Little History of Literature’ of Prof. John Sutherland’s. It is a book that tells the history of a storytelling that is transmitted through time. Some of the stories are regarded as some epic that have been evaluated as literature; some of them have been appreciated as a literature; some of the aforementioned numbers were adapted and presented in the form of plays or movies. At the same time, the reading channel, receiving and storing a literature also evolved according to technological advances. As the book is developed as an e-book, it is the choice of readers and writers to receive and send information. The collected articles of Sutherland by its content not only provides literary history, the background of the literary creator of the modern era in the Western world and imposition of preliminary literary theory, but also inspires readers to keep an eye on human literary behavior and reflects their reading habits as well.
