The research entitled factor affecting stress in operation of traffic police in Bangkok
aimed to 1) study the personal factor related to stress in operation of traffic police Bangkok, 2)
compare stress in operation of traffic police in Bangkok with different personal factor, 3) study
operational factor that related to stress in operation of traffic police in Bangkok, 4) create the
prediction equations of stress in operation of traffic police in Bangkok. The research sample was
Bangkok Metropolitan Traffic police officer both in commissioned and noncommissioned rank
from the Metropolitan Police Division 1-9 from 88 stations which directly affiliated to the
Metropolitan Police Bureau, National Police Office, the size of which was fixed by the formula of
Taro Yamane, and 354 samples were obtained by stratified Random Sampling. The research
method were mix method of qualitative and quantitative type. The tool used in this research
consisted of semi structured Interview Protocol and questionnaire with reliability of second part at
.917 and third part at .914, which were considered a high level. The data were analyzed by
statistics such as percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s product moment correlation
coefficient, the difference of factor was analyzed by t-test and f-test, Post-hoc Multiple
Comparison Tests, Least Significant Difference, multiple regression prediction equation and
variable was selected for prediction equation by stepwise selection. The research finding were as follows: operation factor affective stress in operation of
Bangkok traffic police as a whole was at moderate level, whereas, the aspect of work, time of
operation, progression in operation, relation with superior commander, relation with colleague,
working environment, participation in operation, support from family had relation with stress in
operation of Bangkok Metropolitan Traffic Police with statistical Significant level at .05 level.
