Abstract:
The purposes of this study were 1) to find the efficiency of using the lesson plans for improving vocabulary learning through songs for Mattayomsuksa 2 Students based on the criterion at 80/80, 2) to compare the students English vocabulary achievement before and after learning vocabulary songs, and 3) to investigate the level of students satisfaction with vocabulary learning through songs. The samples in this study were 14 Mattayomsuksa 2 Students who enrolled in the Fundamental English course (EN 22101) in the first semester of acadmic year 2016 at Watbanpatadbu School, Prakhonchai District, Buriram Province under Buriram Primary Educatitonl Service Area Office 2, selected by purposive sampling technique with the three main reasons. Firstly, they were taught fundamental English course (EN 22010) by the researcher herself . Secondly, the researcher was their advisors. Lastly, the students in this class consisted of a mix of low, moderate, and high English proficiency students. The research instruments used for collecting data were 1) 10 lesson plans for teaching English vocabulary through songs, 2) English vocabulary achievement test, and 3) a questionnaire for students satisfaction. The statistics used to analy the collected data were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and dependent samples t-test. The significant difference eas set at the leve of .05. the findings were as follows: 1 . The efficiency of lesson plans for improving vocabulary lesson plans for improving vocabulary learning through songs for Mattayomsukas 2 Students was 86.93/87.14, which higher than the standard criterion set at 80/80. 2. The learning achievement of students post-test mean scores was higher than the pre-test scores with statistically significant difference at.05 level. 3.
