Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to develop of morphological and cytogenetics database system of skinks in the genus Eutropis under primary research morphology and cytogenetics of skinks in the genus Eutropis. In the development of an electronic database, the research results of morphology and cytogenetics about 3 types of skinks were gathered namely, Eutropis multifasciata, Eutropis longicaudata and Eutropis macularia in Northeast Thailand in order to save data in a database published on website providing information for teaching and general interests. The target groups for assessing the satisfaction with the performance of the database included teacher and students in Biology program, Faculty of Science, Buriram Rajabhat University totally 43 persons in 2/2557. Research tools were morphological and cytogenetics database system of Skinks in the genus Eutropis and the satisfaction rating forms. Statistics uses in the research were percentage, means and standard deviation.
The research finding shows that the development of morphological and cytogenetics database system of skinks in the genus Eutropis. Using My SQL database, users can read the screen and search on http://ss.bru.ac.th/skink/. Researchers have determined the properties of the database to make contact with the electronic database to record, improve, edit, search and maintain the data via the Internet. The satisfaction assessment with the performance of the databases three items was included design screen, content and data queries. In terms of the satisfaction of the users, they were satisfied with the database system provided as a whole at a high level. When considering in each aspect, it was found that every aspect was rated at a high level.
