กระบวนการเธต้าตามแนวพุทธจิตวิทยามี 4 ขั้นตอน คือ 1) การมองเห็นและการยอมรับปัญหา 2) การหยุดสิ่งที่ทำให้เกิดปัญหา 3) ตั้งเป้าในการจัดการกับปัญหาและ 4) การลงมือปฏิบัติเพื่อจัดการกับปัญหา โดยมีปัจจัยที่เอื้อต่อการสนับสนุนกระบวนการเธต้า 2 ปัจจัย คือ ปัจจัยด้านวิธีการคิด และปัจจัยด้านกัลยาณมิตรของผู้ปฏิบัติธรรม ผลการพัฒนาโมเดลความสัมพันธ์เชิงสาเหตุที่แสดงอิทธิพลของกระบวนการเธต้าตามแนวพุทธจิตวิทยาต่ออิสระแห่งตนเพื่อการตื่นรู้ของนักธุรกิจ มีตัวแปรที่สังเกตได้รวมทั้งหมด 13 ตัวแปร ซึ่งปรากฏเป็นตัวแปรภายในแฝง 2 ตัวแปรและตัวแปรภายนอกแฝง 2 ตัวแปรผลการทดสอบความตรงของโมเดลเชิงสาเหตุของอิสระแห่งตนเพื่อการตื่นรู้พบว่าโมเดลมีความสอดคล้องกับข้อมูลเชิงประจักษ์มีค่าไค-สแควร์ = 51.84; df = 37; p =.053; GFI = .970 และ AGFI = .940. กระบวนการเธต้าตามแนวพุทธจิตวิทยาสามารถอธิบายความแปรปรวนของอิสระแห่งตนเพื่อการตื่นรู้ของนักธุรกิจได้ร้อยละ 91.00 และกระบวนการเธต้าทำหน้าที่เป็นตัวแปรส่งผ่านที่ทำให้ปัจจัยด้านวิธีในการคิดนำไปสู่ตัวแปรอิสระแห่งตนเพื่อการตื่นรู้"
Theta process in Buddhist Psychology consists of four stages: 1) seeing and accepting the
problem, 2) stopping what causes of the problems, 3) setting the goal in dealing with the problems,
and 4) taking action in order to extinguish problems. There were two factors supporting Theta
process consisted of factors of critical reflection and the qualities of a good friend for meditation
practitioners. Resultof the developed causal model that showed effects of Theta process in Buddhist
Psychology towards autonomy to the awakening of the businessman consisted of 13 observed
variables, 2 exogenous latent variables and2 endogenous latent variables. The validation of a causal
model of autonomy to the awakening indicated that the model fit of empirical data and showed that
Chi-square = 51.84; df = 37; p = .053; GFI = .970 and AGFI = .940. Theta process in Buddhist
Psychology explained the variation in autonomy to the awakening of businessman to 91.00 percent.
In addition, Theta process was acted as a mediator between critical reflection factor and autonomy
to the awakening
