อุปลักษณ์เชิงมโนทัศน์ความจนในภาษาไทย: กรณีศึกษาการใช้ภาษาไทยบนเว็บไซต์ พันทิปดอทคอม

Abstract

งานวิจัยนี้มุ่งวิเคราะห์รูปคำอุปลักษณ์ และอุปลักษณ์เชิงมโนทัศน์ของคำว่า “ความจน” ในภาษาไทยตามแนวคิดการศึกษาอุปลักษณ์ของ เลคอฟและจอห์นสัน (1980, 2003) โดยเก็บข้อมูลจากทุกหมวดหมู่ห้องสนทนาใน “Search Engine Smart Office” บ นเว็บไซต์พันทิปดอทคอม (www.pantip.com) ผลการศึกษาพบรูปคำอุปลักษณ์ความจนจำนวน 119 รูปคำสะท้อนอุปลักษณ์เชิงมโนทัศน์ของผู้ใช้ภาษาไทยที่เปรียบความจนเป็นสิ่งต่าง ๆ ใน 4 มโนทัศน์ได้แก่ [ความจน คือศัตรู] [ความจน คือ พื้นที่] [ความจน คือ วัตถุ] และ [ความจน คือ โรค] มโนทัศน์ ดังกล่าวสะท้อนให้เห็นว่า ผู้ใช้ภาษามีระบบความคิดเชิงเปรียบเทียบในการทำความเข้าใจมโนทัศน์ที่ซับซ้อนอย่างความจนด้วยมโนทัศน์ที่เป็นรูปธรรม ซึ่งหล่อหลอมจากประสบการณ์ในชีวิตประจำวันทั้งนี้จากรูปคำอุปลักษณ์ทำให้เห็นมุมมองของผู้ใช้ภาษาไทยที่มีความคิดในเชิงลบต่อความจน โดยมองว่าความจนคือสิ่งที่ทำให้ชีวิตไม่มีความสุขเป็นอุปสรรคขัดขวางการดำเนินชีวิต จึงต่างต้องการที่จะทำให้ความจนหมดหรือหายไปจากชีวิต อีกทั้งผลการศึกษายังชี้ให้เห็นว่าความจนเป็นสิ่งที่ไม่คงทนหรืออยู่กับมนุษย์ไม่ได้นาน"

The objectives of this research were to analyze metaphorical expressions and conceptual metaphors of the word “poverty” in Thai language, according to metaphor framework presented by Lakoff and Johnson (1980, 2003). Data was collected from all kind of chat rooms in search engine smart office on Pantip.com website. The results of the study found 119 metaphorical expressions of poverty metaphors and there were 4 word forms of poverty conceptual metaphors found in the study: POVERTY IS ENEMY, POVERTY IS AREA, POVERY IS OBJECT and POVERTY IS DISEASE. These conceptual metaphors revealed that Thai language users have a comparative thinking system in order to understand the complex concepts of poverty as an objective concepts through their daily life experiences. According to metaphorical expressions of poverty reflected that Thai people have a negative thinking about the poverty which was the thing that make life unhappy, the obstacle in life, so poverty had to be dispelled from their life. Besides the results also pointed that poverty was such an impermanent or short - lived thing.
